HAP – INTRODUCING INTERNATIONAL GUEST DIRECTOR PAUL GLASER
Så er det altså i morgen fredag 5. april 2024 kl. 20.00, at det internationale gæstespil med titlen HAP har danmarkspremiere på Hesten. Det betyder, at vores tysk-dansk-svenske venner fra HIT International Theatre Arts atter er in the house, og lige inden påske havde holdet intenst besøg af forestillingens instruktør, Paul Glaser (billedet).
I krogene forlyder det, at han måske vender tilbage til premieren, og i den anledning har vi læst lidt op på hans bagkatalog:
Introducing Swedish-born guest director Paul Glaser, who is the Artistic Director of The English Theatre of Hamburg, Germany’s oldest private English-language theatre. As a former actor and musical performer, he is known to Swedish audiences for his roles such as Tony in WEST SIDE STORY (Malmø), Jack in INTO THE WOODS (Stockholm), and nationwide from the SVT series SOLSTOLLARNA.
Today Paul is a sought-after director, composer, and songwriter, having created sound design for over 40 plays and co-written 5 successful musicals. He is the winner of the 2023 Rolf Mares Award as best theatre director in Hamburg, followed by a current nomination for the Hamburger Theaterpreis. His successful directing work includes: THE PRIDE, THE HOUND OF BASKERVILLES, GREAT EXPECTATIONS, THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GREY, THE WOMAN IN BLACK, DEATH KNELL and of course HAP – this quirky and heart-warming comedy presented by Copenhagen-based HIT International Theatre Arts at Teatret ved Sorte Hest, April 5-13, 2024, as part of the Move the North cross-border festival program.
